Aaron, this story oozes authentic consideration for the customer. It's a great example of understated service excellence that would make a lasting impression on the customer. Here's a similar example from Ritz-Carlton that I came across earlier this year: http://www.stevecurtin.com/blog/tag/ritz-carlton-hotel-company/ Hope you enjoy it. Steve

Reading the story of the Geritol reminded me of my formative years working in a fast food restaurant.

We had a regular customer who would buy a coffee with two creams and two sugars. After a time, he stopped buying coffee. I don't know why as I never asked. I recall the look on his face as he took his bag containing his order (which no longer included coffee) but contained the two creams and sugars he had previously requested.

It was a priceless moment. One I hope to repeat often.
